Recommendation
To improve conservation and strengthen tourism in this area, the following shall be observed.

  1. Poaching is mostly taking place around the remote Ingairish area, despite the fact that patrol is frequently done the problem secretly still exists and it is mostly practiced by some Investors and local people dwelling Meatu District, for that notion, more effort on conservation shall be emphasized in this area, and it will be much better if the ranger post shall be establish in this area and insists strong frequent patrol.
  2. To strengthen conservation and promote successful tourism development in this area, the local community found in Kakesio should be actively involved.
  3. Tourism facilities and centers shall be established; includes; cultural centers like Cultural Bomas, Art Galleries and tourists accommodation facilities like Construction of Lodges and Campsites.
  4. Since the local community is the custodians of the available resources, the indigenous knowledge on conservation shall be encouraged and respected. By doing this the successful conservation will be witnessed.
  5. More researches should be done by NCAA to identify the potential attractions and resource inventory. At the same time creates the strategies for sustainability of the resources.
  6. The entrance and exit Kakesio Gate should be relocated to the boarder with Meatu District (Maswa Game Reserve) and the entrance permit office should be constructed and well managed with energetic, educated and well trained human resources.
  7. Kakesio area is endowed with a plenty of bees, hence the existing honey production program should be improved and highly supported by NCAA, because it is a good project to the local community and it is a proper use of the available natural resources.
